IPA Istanbul Performance Festival 2012

Performances by Beate Linne (Germany), Lynn Lu (United Kingdom) and Mehmet Kahraman (Turkey) at SALT Galata in Karaköy

Germany based International Performance Association (IPA) helt its first international performance arts festival in Istanbul between 9 -11 August.

This year the IPA Istanbul festival was organized by Istanbul-based arts and culture team KOZA Visual Culture and Arts Association. It was supported by maumau art residency and Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia with contributions of venue partners Salt Galata, Pasajist, Gallery NON, Pi Artworks, DEPO and Peyote.

The festival included a series of performance art events such as indoor and public space performances and a summer camp where performance artists meet with leading performance artists for training through workshops and discussions.
