POIESIPEDIA CALL for Collaborative Creativity: the future of writing and publishing in the digital age

For the Frankfurt book fair, we are looking for texts which will be published on the trendsetting internet platform poiesipedia.com – the chosen topic is “Literary Cities”. The stories can be imaginary or real, utopian or dystopian, and can deal with the past, present or future. This literary experiment will take place between Aug. 15th and Oct. 12th.

WHO?
Poiesipedia Foundation Ltd., the european centre for creative economy and LABKULTUR.TV call authors, enthusiastic writers and readers from all over the world to join in at the project at the occasion of the 2012 Frankfurt Book Fair.

WHAT?
This year´s theme is „Literary Cities“. Welcomed are texts imaginary or real, past, present or future related, utopian or dystopian, stories dealing with our cities and metropolis as the core of culture and creativity.

WHEN?
From August 15th until October 12th participating authors will write and publish in real-time.

HOW?
This experiment is based on the Internet platform poiesipedia.com. Here, one can read, edit, or write short stories, novels, novelettes, or fictitious entries. Furthermore, users may interlink their entries and also link those with other websites. Within the scope of a literary experiment, authors will be enabled – individually or in groups, electronically or physically – to write, publish, price and distribute their work without the involvement of any publishing house. Authors are encouraged to write in English, but German is also possible.
