PortraitFranziska Klotz (*1979 in Dresden) uses her own or found photographs as inspiration for her compositions. The substance of the color plays a major role in her paintings. The heavy impasto possesses an almost sculptural quality, which is juxtaposed with lightly glazed areas.

Klotz studied painting at Berlin-Weißensee Art Academy. Werner Liebmann gave her the honor of a master scholar. Her works have been displayed in various exhibitions including the IV Moscow Biennial for Young Art in 2014.

Michael Wutz (born in 1979) is a multimedia-based artist who works with cultural historic phenomenons such as burial rites. He quotes and adapts illustrations such as archeological excavation reports and in doing so integrates episodes of the history of science. Wutz reflects on these contents through various mediums like experimental animated films, etchings, drawings and collage. Among others Wutz’s work received the Horst Janssen award in 2011 and has been shown in several international exhibitions and biennials. For Imagination and Orchestration Franziska Klotz and her partner Michael Wutz work in tandem.
