In addition to the Open Call, the concept of this year’s Triennial meant that selection team, Section of Extended Media in ULUS, invited renowned artists, curators and professors to participate in the Triennial and to give suggestions of artists and art groups to participate by invitation in the Triennial’s exhibition.
Within the theme of “1002 night – before and after” (Marte Jelene Glišić/Nenad Glišić) come – on invitation of prof. dr Biljana Jović (docent at the University in Belgrade) exhibiting Virgil Widrich (AT), Jean Constant (USA), DDr Eiichi Tosaki (JP/AUS), Birgit Schuh (DE), Lorenza Salati (IT), Marco Massoto (IT), Simone Zambreri (IT), Sebastiano Genovesi (IT) i Miloš Tripković (SRB). Virgil Widrich (*1967, Salzburg) is a screenwriter, film director, multimedia artist and professor of “Art & Science” at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His short film “Copy Shop” was nominated for an Oscar. In total, his work has been awarded more than 130 international awards. Virgil Widrich is involved in a variety of roles as project manager, conceptionalist, exhibition designer or artistic director in the creation of screenplays, short and feature films, installations, exhibitions and entire museums, as well as in international research projects. In the framework of the Triennial of Extended Media 2019, at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Biljana Jović (University of Belgrade) and in the selection by Nenad Glišić, Virgil Widrich is coming to Serbia to be present at the ceremonial opening of the exhibition and to present his artworks through several programs:
