Teras Sergileri <40 at Elgiz Çağdaş Sanat Müzesi, Istanbul

“Ayazağa” – in Turkish the name for the “ruler of the cold winds”, is also the name of the Istanbul neighborhood where the business Elgiz family has become known not only for its numerous skyscaper, but also for their love for modern art.

With regular frequency, they invite people from around the world to their “home” in order to share their ideas and project and to make the young Turkish art scene more accessible to both local as well as international art lovers.

With the series “Teras Sergileri <40”, which takes place these days for the third time, young Turkish artists under 40 got the opportunity to display their current sculptures on the 1500 square foot open-air roof stage; these works are starting a dialog with the skyline of Maslak.

The exhibits can be visited until 23 August 2014. Group tours are available, by appointment, possible.
