Culture Journalism
Workshop at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Kabul
The participants of this workshop will experience culture as a central part of the journalistic enterprise in all media: print, TV, radio and online publishing. The instructors will introduce the often-overlooked relationship between cultures; society and politics with examples of their own editorial work in print, TV, radio and online media.
Following a dialogue about the subtle but symbiotic relationship between art and power and after an evaluation of recent forms in culture journalism the participants are encouraged to produce content about cultural topics in Afghanistan for print, TV, radio or online media.
Example for culture journalism: Tear Gas and Graffiti by Sabine Küper-Büsch and Thomas Büsch
The instructors are experienced cultural journalists in the media sectors print, television, radio and online.
