The InEnArt team wishes all friends and supporters a good 2018. The InEnArt online platform and its sub-domains (Senses of Time, StreetWalking and the Mahalla Festival) were founded in December 2012 and exists now since 5 year. We thank all of our followers for their support during this period.
Since 5 years we are creating and publishing articles and events about cultural approaches and creative developments mostly from the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
In 2013 we created the largest online archive about the creative expressions during the Gezi protests in Istanbul; follwoing the Gezi park protests the InEnArt team organized the first ever Three Sided Football match in Turkey in the frame of the Istanbul Biennial 2013.-
The InEnArt team was always reflecting cultural search of identity in areas of cultural alienation either due to repression, displacement and the need for personal expression. With our platform Urban Voices we are reflecting new creative efforts and discuss future utopia of life beyond borders which still exists within nations, gender, religion and ethics.
Since 2014 we prepared under the title Searching Traces on behalf the Goethe-Institut Istanbul an extensive workshop program with migrants and host communities in Turkey reflecting the living situation in exile. It became its own video channel within our video magazine StreetWalking.-
Within the frame of parallel events of the 15th Istanbul Biennial were organized last year the Mahalla festival dedicated to migration, exile and cultural identity with the participation of 25 cultural initiatives from 16 countries from Europe and beyond. In 2018 we are preparing the second issue of the Mahalla festival in Malta.-
Just to name a few examples of our activities during these five years.
