[widgetkit id=17927]
At Kunstraum Kreuzberg in Berlin you could currently think the smell of male testicles would be in the air.
The exhibition aims to shed light on the relationship between big boys and their toys. Actually weapons, uniforms, militaria and cool gadgets: toys of mankind destruction.

The exhibition is dedicated to the relationship wof artists at present to war, weapons and their aesthetics.

The war is here not a frontal assault on the senses of the viewer, but appears quiet, insidiously, and omnipresent. Everyday scenes from a number of Eastern European cities have been digitally enhanced so that murder and manslaughter constantly seem latently present.

Peace is not the absence of war, as quoted by Spinoza. In this exhibition war is always present, even in peace times.

The huge collection of helicopters by Berlin artist Heinrich Dubel, however, refers to the fetishistic moment of boys and their violent fantasies.
