We Traders Exhibition – Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien

We Traders – Swapping Crisis for City
, is a product of cooperation between Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien and the Goethe Institute Brussels. From 4th of July – 17th of August, the exhibition is open to everyone who wants to contribute with presents, ideas or thoughts to all questions concerning the modern city.

We-Traders

Activists, architects, artists and other creative minds from European cities such as Madrid, Turin, Lissabon, Toulouse and Berlin come together to swap ideas and visions for a better and fairer living standard in cities. In workshops, presentations and performances they discuss issues around innovative city planning. With questions like: how to produce groceries in a 21st century city? and which role do architects play; can they act as mediators between the commune and residents? they invite everyone to contribute to this exchange of point of views, ideas and visions. The trustees Angela Fitz and Rose Epple of the project consider We-Traders as opportunity to find a new definition for the relation between value, profit and commonweal.
