Formato Ridotto with Wu Ming 2
Formato Ridotto (Reduced Format) is a collective film by five Italian writers that marks a new narration of Home Movies in Italy. Enrico Brizzi, Ermanno Cavazzoni, Emidio Clementi, Ugo Cornia and Wu Ming 2 uses original footage of the National Archives of Family Films to experiment with narrative techniques in film making. Thanks to very different approaches between them the movie describes in five episodes individual storries of short duration, from time to time transfiguring the esthetic of essay, news and digression.
These forms of documentary film share a common element: the universe of Emilia-Romagna, a Region of Northern Italy with its capital Bologna, which is one of the richest, most developed regions in Europe.
