Wu Ming 2 comes to Berlin!

On October 25th at 8 pm, the Italian author Wu Ming 2 presents his Theater/Concert „Razza Partigiana“ in the Theater Ackerstadtpalast in Ackerstraße 169/170 in 10115 Berlin. The entrance fee is 12€/10€.

The Italian bookstore Mondolibro from Berlin and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Berlin show, in the context of their event series „Resistenze – Geschichten aus Italien“, the play „Razza Partigiana“ written by Wu Ming 2 in the Theater Ackerstadtpalast.

The Wu Ming Foundation is an author collective from Bologna, whose novels have been translated into many languages. Their works often address lesser known historical events.

The man behind Wu Ming 2 is the Italian author Giovanni Cattabriga, who is also participating on stage, with musical support from Paul Pieretto, Federico Oppi (Settlefish) and Egle Sommacal (Massimo Volume).

The hour-long performance consists of 13 texts, 13 original pieces of music, 13 electric dances and a reading, which is presented in singing.

The plot follows the story of Giorgio Marincola, a partisan from World War II, a dark-skinned Italian who is the son of a Somalian mother and an Italian father, born in 1923 near Mogadishu.
